Photo by Elizabeth Cecil[/caption] Bon Appetit, one of the country's premiere food magazines, posted an article about some of the best school food in America, singling out six school systems across the US that serve top-quality food sourced from as many local purveyors as possible. Martha's Vineyard schools ranked as one of the six! We are thrilled that the hard work of island food service staff has been recognized in this way, and congratulate all the school chefs at every island school for their dedication to preparing the best food possible for their kids. Special congratulations to Jenny Devivo, Mercedes Ferriera, and the whole team at the Up Island Regional School District for having a beautiful photo--taken by island photographer Elizabeth Cecil--of their local seafood chowder included in the article.
