It's time for annual plant sales! Both the Edgartown School and Oak Bluffs School host student-run plant sales to sell vegetable starts to their communities. All proceeds go directly to support both garden programs!
Edgartown School's Plant sale will run on May 23rd, 24th, 25th, 30th, 31st, and June 1st, and features a wide selection of tomato, eggplant, and pepper varieties. 2nd graders help choose varieties, start plants, write and illustrate a catalog, and sell plants during the sale. All proceeds go directly to help the Edgartown School Farm and Garden program, run by Melinda Defeo. All questions can be sent her way, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Oak Bluffs School Plant Sale will run after school on May 23rd, 24th, and 25th, from 2:00-3:00 PM. Students helped choose, start, and care for a wide variety of vegetables, flowers, and herbs, and will be available during the sale to help guide customers and check them out when they're ready to buy. All questions can be sent to Suzie, Island Grown Schools' Educator for the Oak Bluffs School, at email@example.com.
Now let's get growing!
