February is the perfect month to celebrate the humble bean! It's hard to find a meal that isn't improved by the addition of at least one of the many flavorful variety of beans out there, and they're the perfect way to pack more protein, fiber, and other nutrients into our diets. Dried beans from local farms (or your own garden!) are a great way to sneak some harvest time warmth into the part of winter that often seems the longest. Our recipe for cinnamon maple chickpea crackers also makes a delicious snack (or breakfast cereal!) for any time of year.
